Thats what we are calling Konner.
On Monday April 5, 2010 Konner had an ultrasound done and the test results came back that he had a mass in his abdomen that was pushing on his kidney. So the Dr. order am MRI to be done stat (fast). We brought Konner to Phoenix Childrens Hospital on Friday at noon to have his MRI done. They said that it would take about 45 minutes to an hour and a half and then we would be able to go home later on after he woke up from the anesthesia. Well while he was getting the MRI done his dr's came to talk to Kyle and I. They told us that he had a tumor on his spine that also extended to his abdomen and was pushing his spine to the left and was pushing on his kidney as well. This Tumor we do not know what it is yet. They have all said it has the characteristics of Nueroblastoma. That is a type of Childhood cancer which mostly effects kids ages 3-infancy.
Konner was admitted to PCH and this morning he went into Surgery to have this tumor removed. They are going to try and remove as much of the tumor as possible. He has a great team of Dr's and they are all optimistic about it. Konner does have a long road ahead of him but with all the prayers and Hope and Faith We know he can get through this. He is our Lil' Tough Guy, Peanut, fighter, brother, son, grandson, nephew! We love him Dearly and we ask that you all keep him in your prayers.
I will keep you all updated through our blog as this is better for me to get everything out. Thank you All
